You can make a booking or enquiry by either calling us on (03) 5988 6262 or by submitting our online enquiry form.
We offer both.
Catered camps are available, with our dedicated kitchen staff preparing your camps meals from dinner day one, thru to departure day lunch. Other meals are available upon request. We will structure a menu to suit your groups needs and diets, and then cook and serve it for you for the duration of your stay. All staff and students are required to provide their own lunch and afternoon snack on the day of arrival. If you have planned activities offsite (during your stay or on the day of departure), we can organise a packed lunch for you.
Self-Catered camps are also available, we have a basic kitchen available to use, that includes fridge, microwave and stove. NO oven available, however BBQ's are onsite.
Ace Hi is an allergen aware camp.
Allergens can be catered for at Ace-Hi. Anaphylaxis, intolerances, allergies and religious requirements can all be catered for with prior knowledge. We request that you provide us with a list of dietary requirements approximately 2 weeks prior to your arrival on camp so we have enough time to review it and create a menu.
Should parents be concerned, we are more than happy to have a parent contact us prior to camp to discuss any concerns they may have. We’re also happy for parents to provide their own food for their child if they are overly concerned.
Whilst we do endeavour to cater for everyone, there may be times where we need the student / staff to supply their own snacks, bread etc if we are unable to find an appropriate alternative for their dietary requirement.
The camp itself can sleep up to 200 people, over a variety of accommodation options.
On adventure camps we can sleep up to 180 people of Secondary school age plus their staffs and 160 people of Primary school age plus their staffs.
On horse riding camps we can sleep up to 60 students of both primary and secondary age plus their staffs.
Please see our ‘What to Pack’ list for items that we consider required/recommend for camp.
In the event of an emergency we highly recommend that groups bring at least one vehicle that is present for the duration of your camp in addition to busses that you arrive/depart in. We do have a vehicle onsite should it be required.
Part of Ace-Hi’s service is to construct a program that suits your group numbers, requirements and any requests.
Prior to your camp you will be given a list of activities and asked to decide which ones you wish to undertake. We will then put together a program to suit, and contact you to decide if it is suitable. Programs can be altered if required to allow for other requirements, (i.e. late arrival/early departure, offsite activities)
Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Archery and Rock-Climbing are all deemed specialised activities, and are therefore facilitated by Ace-Hi staff. We do require at least one school staff member to assist us with tasks such as harnessing and supervision of participants whilst activity is in progress.
Horse Riding is also deemed a specialised activity and therefore facilitated by our trained staff. We do require at least one staff member to be present at all times when students are riding.
All other activities are deemed non-specialised and are able to be run by school staff after a safety briefing by Ace-Hi staff. With prior arrangements we may run these activities for you alos.
The saying ‘a little bit of rain won’t hurt’ is applicable at Ace-Hi, we are happy to continue to operate our activities in the rain, however if torrential rain or storms should arrive we will cease activities until the weather has past.
Ace-Hi will do it’s best to deliver to you the program that was intended. If required we may need to shuffle the program to make the best use of good weather, whether it be re-grouping students, and/or changing activity program.
For safety reasons our Flying Fox has a wind meter installed that prevents us from operating it in high winds, should this occur, we will do our best to get all students to have a turn once wind has dropped.
We also have a vast array of indoor activities available should weather prevent us from going outside.
Yes, aside from any school required forms, any students/staff who is undertaking Horse Riding at Ace Hi, will be required to sign a Rider Registration Form, these forms should be returned to the school/group prior to camp, so that they can be submitted by the school.
